“Plaza Lavalle” consists in three squares that are
full of trees (some of them are historical), monuments, sitting benches and
children's playgrounds.
From the northern square, you will have a full view of
the Teatro Colón. This is the mayor Argentina’s opera house. This place is very
well-known all around the world for its great acoustics. People come here to enjoy
a play for a few dollars in the top part of theatre room where you are stand up
but it is said that you get the best sound of the whole room.
There is another massive building, the “Tribunales
palace” that is in front of the southern block of Lavalle Square. This place is
the Judicial power building of the Nation and there have been several Argentinian
movies that took place here.
Furthermore, Argentina has the biggest Spanish-speaking Jewish community and in the surroundings of the northern square, there is the most important Synagogue of Argentina, the “Libertad Temple”.
There is also the Petit Colon bar and much more to stories to be told. The “Conventillo de las Artes” building, the ILSE, the “Roca” primary school
